For many scuba divers the yearly Sardine Run is one of those bucket list events. Millions of Sardines are traveling up the Southeast African shores, which generates interest for Apex Predators, as well as Birds, Dolphins and Bryde’s Whales. Though I was on site too early to experience the full popcorn sardine action – birds and predators shooting into pockets of schooling sardines – I was still able to witness spectacular coastlines and more Humpback Whales, that I could have dreamed of (including some nice underwater interactions).
